Neutral Ground

No New Posts Centre's Park

It is known by the canines of the city as Centre's Park because it is in the middle of the circle-like city. Surrounded by wrecking skyscrapers, this park is the only bit of green one will see, if you don't count the small shoots of grass and trees shooting up throughout the city. It is not espiecally hard to find the park, as just about all roads lead to it. At first glance, it is a quite shadowy place due to the large amounts of trees, but it offers a safe refuge. A dusty old horse fountain lies in the middle of the park which luckily holds a supply of water filled by the rain. Emerald leafed trees create large patches of cool shade to rest under, and the bark of the trees have formed quite interesting shapes and patterns. Patches of flowers are often flattened by those seeking a resting places, and to the side of the is an old rusty children's playground surrounded by a low fence. But even with great living conditions, a wolf or dog will rarely see another in the same place, and most scents have slowly disappeared, making this feel like an eerie place.

No New Posts Emergency Department

The Emergency Department is another one of the well known sites that is visited regulary by loners . A tree is rooted on the grassy surface to the left of the building. To the opposite of the tree is a lone steel pole. Tatters of what was a flag still flaps silently in the wind. Claypots with dead flowers stand on either side of the door that has been broken of it's hinges, and most windows are smashed. the inside of the department is a lot smaller than one would imagine. but in the days of the humans it supported a vigilant working force. Most rooms are deadlocked and provide a challenge to get into, but there are a few which will offer a small meal and a roof to sleep under. However, the police dogs and rescue dogs that remain behind will pose a challenge to anyone invading their home.

No New Posts Memorial Hospital

Not exactly far from the Emergency department lies a grey square-like building with numerous floors. That square-like building is the Memorial Hospital. Probably one of the more boring buildings in the City, mostly because of it's tasteless appearance and the inability to explore the mysteries on higher floors. There is a small garden of wildflowers outside which provides a small flare of life and adds abit of colour to the hospital. A giant stretch of carpark space is to the right, with endless roads of cement leading to numerous doors. On the inside, metallic smells of rusty tools and dried blood makes any canine nose wince and recoil, but any dog or wolf who searches for a while in the hospital mind find something a bit useful if luck is on their side.

No New Posts State High School

The whole system is fenced with a high chain link fence with numerous holes littering the ground, showing that many canines have forced their way pass the barrier. The first thing one will come to is a large stretch of untidy grass. Trees surround the outside of the oval, and a few park benches and wooden tables are placed here and there. Pass the relaxation area and gardens lies the main buildings. The ones with the classrooms are rarely visited due to the fact that they are often useless besides the odd sandwhich or sleeping spot. No, the most common place is the small cafeteria where many meals can be found both in and out of plain sight. So coming here is not at all a waste of precious engery and time.

No New Posts Broken Bridge

Towards the outskirts of the city is a large river that runs day and night. If one sees the beauty and peace of the place, it is easy to understand why it is so far away from the main business of the city. Grasses and treeshave shot up on either sides of the river, providing a small resting place or hunting cover. Various species of fish and birds gather around the river, and shelter can be found on the sandy bank under the bridge. So this small area can support one canine. However, the real secret lies across the river. The leafy woods is where a Rebellion rests. But reaching the woods is another story all together. The bridge that hunters used to use to reach the deer and other animals in the woods has been twisted and snapped and the river is much too deep and fast to wade across. The only way across is an important secret known by a select few.

No New Posts Forest Outskirts

Well you made it across either the snapped-in-half bridge or you waded across the insanely deep and fast river. Good job. Well back to business. Past the river is the entrance to the most mysterious and somewhat fearful place in the city. The forest. The woods on the surrounding edge of the forest are more roomy and allow more light. The trees have light colours and you will pretty much find only small prey such as squirrels and possums. The forest is much more crowded, much darker and hides watching eyes. But the cold darkness offers larger game like deer and to some a cool and peaceful resting spot. Despite the warnings and superstitious beliefs, the woods offer a great rest and recovery home and a wide variety of meals to catch depending on your skill and hunger. However, always remember not to venture to far into the heart of the forest, as those who live within will accept dogs and wolves who explore the outskirts will definatly not accept intruders.

The Survivor's Rebellion

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Heart of the Woods

Given the very dark and fearful appearance of the forest, nobody would think someone would want to permantly live here. But there is. A mixture of wolves, dogs and halfbreeds. If you have come this close to see them, you have stumbled upon the home of the Survivor's Rebellion. Their camp is based in a large clearing filled with soft springy grass and sweet smelling trees. Golden rays of sunlight have made their way through the canopy making the place seem more welcoming than the darker forest. The whistling of birds and the far-off bubbling of teh river make this place seem comforting, but the Rebellion that lives here faces a darker war and fate.

No New Posts Alley Honeycomb

A well known territory to the Rebellion, and members often stay here overnight as the territory is not far from their main base. The alleys are nicknamed as a "honeycomb"because it is a wide systsem of joining and dead ended alleyways. Knowing every single turn and trap, the pack members often use split-up and regroup points should an enemy ever get into their sanctuary. Covered in foul smelling garbage, twisted furniture and rotten food, searching and exploring is not something particulary favoured, but because of it's vast size and routes, there is always something to find in the alleyways.

No New Posts Jailhouse

Most certianly the most dangerous territory and is only patrolled by the most experinced of pack members. The base is small and well hidden; a small buidling similar to a jail. The building's wallpaper had long since peeled and the windows are slightly tinted and few are cracked. The tiles are cold but luckily a few shreds of material have been gathered together to make some sort of rug. There is food easily acessible and sleep is easy to obtain. However, the most dangerous thing is that the patrol route goes right by the Wolf Gang and the Dog Pack's territory so all skills are required to survive in one day of work.

No New Posts The Weeping Willow

The base is the smallest of the lookouts; it is a large Willow tree that has planted ut's roots and grown in the city. Surrounded by decaying skyscrapers and buildings, it's easy to see which is the greater power. Giant cracks in the cement show where the tree's roots have pushed underground and the branches of the tree droop low to the ground. It sends off a depressing and eerie feeling and the branches remind the team of tears, which is why it is nicknamed "The Weeping Willow".The team hides in the drooping branches of willow, and due to the powerful scent of the foilage surroudning them, they often evade detection.

Wolf Gang Territory

No New Posts Meat Packing Factory

The centre of all of the Wolf Gang's plans and schemes is their base; a long abadonned meat packing factory. On the outskirts of the City, this once popular factory thrived with human hands and supplied all the meat to the residents of the city. It began to lose business when the worldwide disaster hit as expected and simply closed down. For now, the wolves have taken it over completely. The factory is surrounded by a depressing iron spiked fence and gives off a gloomy appearance. The windows are coated with dust and don't let a whole lot of light in. The hallways are dark as well, making it difficult to navigate around the place. Most of the rooms are a blinding light colour and still carry the smell of cleaning product and hold crates and hoses. The main domains of the factory include the central warehouse, the slaughteryard and the halls. Other than that, little is known about the small rooms as the wolves have deemed it unworthy and time-wasting to explore.

No New Posts Rocky Waste

The Rocky Waste is the largest territory in the Wolf Gang's possession. Once a large area of skyscrapers and buidlings, the skyscrapers fell to the ground and smashed into blocks and rocks of cement and earth. Mixed with sand and rocks due to erosion and wind, the area became a huge wasteland. However, a lot of life can be found amongst the ruins. Small shoots of yellow and organge grass can be found, and animals such as mice and reptiles can be found hiding in small hollows.

No New Posts Power Plant

The power plant once powered the city with electricity. It was great in that time, but now it is pretty useless. The territory; a giant slab of cement surrounded bu a chain link fence with barbed wire on the top. Large electrical towers and powerlines are spread all over the facility. A small building at the heart of the territory warns people that entering the building and going underground is "for authorised personnel" only and that "inexperinced persons should not enter due to danger of death." Underground the facility is twice it's size above ground. Filled with rooms of control panels, meeting desks and the occasional meal, it is worth your while to spend some time down here.

No New Posts Nature Garden

It would suprise many, both dogs and wolfdogs and even outcast wolves that the Wolf Gang shows some appreciation for beauty. For the Nature Garden is very beautiful, but it is also free from human scent so that may be the reason that the wolves chose this place as a territory. They also feel that they are like the garden, as the plantlife has overtaken the human influences in the garden. Similar to how the wolves feel they have. Strands of ivy curl around massive lamposts and the dirt pathways have been erased. The trees grow large and strong and the flowers grow bright and attractive. The grass is long and springy and the bushes are cool and provide a good hiding and thinking spot.

Dog Pack Territory

No New Posts Dog Park

After the violent raids and attacks from the Wolf Gang, the Dog Pack retreated to a place that still had the comforting scent of humans. The Dog park is etched into the mind of the oldest dogs, and it hasn't changed much from this past vision. A large grassy park surrounded by a large chain link fence which can be acessed by a swigning gate which has come off it's hinges. The grass is soft and springy and many dogs enjoy basking in the sunlight here. Tall trees are scattered throughout the park providing cool shade. Small natural ponds and fountains are placed all over the place, and squirrels and birds can be caught for food. At the center of the park is a large stone foundation. This is where the Alphas rest and plan with others of high status.

No New Posts City Junkyard

The Junkyard, which is located on the outskirts of town, is now one of the most bountiful areas of the once fruitful city and is marked off by a large and rusty chain-link fence. Mostly visited by the dogs who once guarded the junkyard, it is filled with towering mounds of scrap-metal; car bodies, tin cans, broken structures and coils of wire. Although digging through the trash is time and energy-consuming (not to mention dangerous because of all the broken glass), one might find something useful suich as a half-eaten hot dog or a packet of biscuits forgotten in the garbage.

No New Posts Storm Drains

The massive stormdrains on the outskirts of the city is where all the street drains lead to. The storm Drain is a large ditch of cement that directs stormwater into the river of the city. When there has been no rainfall, the drain is bone dry and wolves normally cut across the drain on their patrol routes. However, when there has been rainfall, the drains are filled with a rushing stream of rapid moving water that joins the river. During this weather, patrols are forced to go around the drains as they can't risk wading across the drainwater due to the speed and reduced visability.

No New Posts Neglected Cottage

Once upon a time this cottage was pretty with a well-kept garden containing lavender, roses and other flowers with foreign scents, a cream brocking pattern and a brown wooden door. The windows were clear and lace curtains hung on either side. Now the cottage is a shadow of it's former self. The windows broken and the door broken of it's hinges due to rust. The garden has been taken over by weeds and wildflowers. But the members that pass by here don't care for it's appearance as it is as good as a fortress as anything.
